DMS-2021 A & DMS -2022 A – Digital Programmable Matrix Relay Module

OVERVIEW

The digital programmable matrix relay module DMS-2021 A is a switching device for up to:
1. 5 x 100V loudspeaker lines (Class A wiring) or
2. 10 x 100V loudspeaker lines (Class B wiring); each two lines could be configured as A+ B circuits.

Each DMS 2021A is equipped with 10 number of programmable 100-volt inputs. The internal controller of the DMS-2021A has a 32-bit, 100 MHz processor which communicates with the DAM2500A and DPM 2500 A controllers via a CAN-bus and two RJ-45 sockets for automatic configuration, data transmission, and self-monitoring.

The switching stages of the programmable relays are indicated by LEDs. The DMS-2021 A is connected to a Digital-Line-Measurement-Module DMS-2022A to monitor each loudspeaker line by measuring the load/impedance in defined intervals. The measurement tolerance for each line can be set incrementally, ranging from 1% to 25%.

The DMS-2022A module monitors any short/open circuit on the loudspeaker lines and the status of the amplifier.

The unit is able to switch automatically between any faulty amplifier and standby amplifier. It also enables one-to-one switching.

The DMS 2021A unit is cascadable to match the number of loudspeaker circuits for any size of the project.

The power of the unit is taken from the main controller through the IO-MOD connection as per the factory test and EN54 Part 16 lab test.
